Your journey begins between 7:00–8:00 AM with a friendly pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport. Join fellow travellers in a shared 4x4 safari Land Cruiser and head toward the Masai Mara. Along the way, stop for a scenic view of the Great Rift Valley—a perfect photo moment. Continue through rolling hills and Maasai villages, reaching the Masai Mara by early afternoon. Check in to Mara Sopa Lodge (comfort) or Enkorok Camp (economy), where a freshly prepared lunch awaits. After a short rest, head out on your first game drive.
Start with a sunrise game drive—the best time to witness predators on the move. After breakfast, spend the day exploring the Mara’s rich ecosystems with packed lunch in the park. Visit hippo pools and lookout points. You may opt to visit a Maasai village ($20) in the afternoon. Another evening game drive rounds off the day before dinner and rest.
