After breakfast, a scenic drive takes you to Marangu Gate, the starting point of your trek.
Today you’ll hike for 6–7 hours through changing landscapes as the rainforest gives way to moorland.

At midnight, begin your ascent to Uhuru Peak, the roof of Africa.

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Our team will transfer you to your comfortable hotel in Moshi, a peaceful town nestled at the foot of the mountain. In the evening, meet your mountain guide for a thorough briefing and equipment check. Enjoy a hearty dinner and get a good night’s rest before the climb begins.
After breakfast, a scenic drive takes you to Marangu Gate, the starting point of your trek. After registration and introductions to your mountain crew, begin your 4–5 hour hike through the lush rainforest. The trail is alive with birdsong, and you might spot blue monkeys along the way. Arrive at Mandara Hut, surrounded by forest, and take an optional short hike to Maundi Crater for expansive views.
Today you’ll hike for 6–7 hours through changing landscapes as the rainforest gives way to moorland. The trail offers striking views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. You’ll pass giant lobelias and other unique high-altitude plants. Arrive at Horombo Hut, where you’ll enjoy a warm meal and a well-deserved rest.
After breakfast, continue across the vast saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. The trail becomes drier as you move into alpine desert. Today’s hike takes about 6 hours. Upon arrival at Kibo Hut, rest and prepare for the summit attempt.
At midnight, begin your ascent to Uhuru Peak, the roof of Africa. The climb is steep and challenging but rewarding, as you reach Gilman’s Point at sunrise, then push on to the summit. After celebrating at the top, descend to Kibo Hut for a short rest, then continue to Horombo Hut for a full night of recovery.
Enjoy your final hike down through moorland and rainforest to Marangu Gate. You’ll receive your climbing certificate and say goodbye to your mountain team. Transfer back to your Moshi hotel for a hot shower, dinner, and a comfortable night.
After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey — leaving with unforgettable memories of your Kilimanjaro experience.
