Mombasa Bongo Wildlife

Swahili,Arab and Portuguese
cultures blend in Old Town’s narrow streets.

Mombasa is Kenya’s island city, nestled between creeks and the Indian Ocean, offering an inviting blend of history, beaches, and coastal charm. Located 485km southeast of Nairobi, it serves as the country's gateway to the coast.

The city’s Old Town, a maze of narrow lanes and historical buildings, reflects Portuguese, Arab, and Swahili influence. Fort Jesus, a 16th-century fortification, anchors this cultural hub.

Beyond the heritage, Mombasa is a beach lover’s dream. From Nyali to Diani, its beaches are ideal for snorkeling, diving, or unwinding under a palm tree.

Marine parks teem with colorful fish and coral, while places like Haller Park bring wildlife and ecological restoration together. Mombasa’s food, drawn from Swahili, Indian, and Arabic roots, is as flavorful as its scenery.

Bustling and relaxed, cultural and natural, Mombasa delivers a Kenyan Safari experience like no other.

Season Safari Guide

Mombasa enjoys a warm coastal climate throughout the year.

The long rainy season from April to June can bring heavy showers and higher humidity, though mornings are often clear. The short rains in November and December are lighter and still suitable for travel.

Temperatures average 28°C to 32°C, with warm sea breezes offering coastal comfort. If you prefer fewer crowds and green landscapes, shoulder seasons offer peaceful experiences without compromising the beach appeal.
